I finally made an "explosion box". This will be part of my nephew's birthday gift. He loves Elmo, so I thought Elmo in front of a birthday cake would be fun!
Recipe:
Real Red 12x12
Pumpkin Pie 12x12
Basic Black 12x12
Whisper White
I made small boxes for the tiers of the cake, then decorated them.

This is another challenge card. This is for SCIC02 on Stampin Celebration. I used all Stampin Up punches to create this card. Only the letters are non SU.
The recipe is:
Yo Yo Yellow for the card base
Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Real Red, and Basic Black for the card elements.
I also used the Big Shot Large Dots texture plate on the turquoise background to give the card more texture.

So, I tried to make this sample the same shape as the others, but it wouldn't work. So, I created my own style. I messed with measurements and scoring until I came up with my favorite style. This looks even more like the real Miche bags. I will post a tutorial on this purse style soon.
Another Miche bag! The pink and brown is such a cute combination of colors. I also think these purses filled with goodies would make a great mothers day gift.

My friend sells Miche bags and I am creating similar purses for her to use as goody bags for her hostess. I love doing this!!! This is the first I gave her!!! I love it!

Exciting news from Stampin' Up! As of July 1st there will be a whole new color collection. This will include some of the current colors, some of the past In colors, and even some new colors. Here is the new color chart!

Had a little trouble with the spacing in the tote tutorial. I will get better as I go (I hope).
Finally finished the tote tutorial! Here we go!

Supplies:
2-12 x 12 pcs. of DSP
cutter
bone folder

punch of your choice
hole punch
sticky strip
adhesive

Step 1:
Cut your tote paper to 10 x 12

Step 2:
With the 10" side in the cutter, score the full length of the paper at 2" on each side

Step 3: Turn paper and score at 5" and 7"

Step 4: Crease all scores with your bone folder

Step 5: Cut from side of paper in to where score lines meet on both sides. Total of 4 - 2" cuts.

Step 6: Cut 4 - 5" x 1" pieces out of coordinating DSP

Step 7: Adhere the strips to the front and back of tote about 1"from score marks

Step 8: Add sticky strip as shown

Step 9: Assemble tote

Step 10: Cut 2 - 10" x 1" strips for handles

Step 11: Adhere handles to inside of bag using adhesive

Step 12: Punch out embellishments

Step 13: Add embellishments, hole punch through embellishment, tote, and handles. Add brads to hold it all together.

There you have the finished tote!

If you have any questions or comments please post!!!

This is more of the tote style. I will be adding a tutorial for this type of bag soon. Hopefully even later tonight! I made several of these for my crop this weekend.
Just another color scheme!
I am currently obsessed with making purses and totes. I was inspired by a Miche bag party I attended and have been making different styles ever since.

More SAB stuff! The set and paper are out of SAB. Only 30 more days to order!!!
This is the little monkey from the Fox and Friends set in the Occasions Mini. You can only order this set through April! It is so cute. I used the cloud paper out of the SAB paper pack. Again, a limited time item. I had a little trouble getting the hang of the new punches, but once I did, I loved the results!

Happy March! I am so excited that spring finally starts this month. Snow be gone. I love the leprechaun in the Pinch Proof set. I bought this because I am a huge Notre Dame fan, but now I love using it to make St. Patty's Day cards.
